Stakeholders lay emphasis on Pokhara’s tourism development

June 5,  Pokhara, : Nepal Entrepreneurs Association of Tourism (NEAT) Pokhara on Monday felicitated the newly appointed Chairman of Pokhara Valley Town Development Committee, Sundar Kumar Shrestha, and the newly elected Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City ward no 6 Chair, Jagat Bahadur Pahari, among other elected representatives.

NEAT Pokhara Chairman, Som Thapa, expressed belief that newly appointed chair Shrestha and newly elected representatives will play significant role in making Pokhara one of world’s best destinations.

Shrestha took the occasion to make a commitment that he would work with the political parties and the civil society to develop Pokhara into an international city.

Pahari noted that the Fewa Lake – located at ward no 6 of the city – was a prime tourism attraction and pledged to remain committed to its conservation and development.

Nepal Trade Union Congress senior Vice Chairman, Ramji Kunwar, stressed on need of cooperation and unity among the residents of Pokhara to make the city prosperous.
